Melissa was born and raised in Mount Airy, NC. She studied Business Management at Surry Community College before enlisting in the US Army Military Police, where she remained from 1993-1998.

After leaving the Army, Melissa moved back to Mount Airy, NC, started a construction company, and welcomed her daughter, Joelle and son, Blake. She learned each and every aspect of the construction business, which taught her what to look for (and what to run from!) when walking through homes, giving her an advantage over other agents! Her clients can trust her to provide insight into the “bones” of any home she walks into, which has provided her a leg up in the real estate business.

In early 2020, Melissa passed her NC real state exam and became a licensed real estate agent, with dreams of helping others find the perfect place to call home, or sell their homes for top dollar! In her free time, you can find Melissa volunteering, visiting any of Florida’s gorgeous beaches, remodeling homes, gardening, hiking with her dog Stella, or kayaking–really anything to enjoy the great outdoors!
